2017, a difficult year. That is what I read everywhere. Politically, environmentally, and financially. If not a Trump fan, not a good year; natural disasters happening because of global… Read more 2017 >>> 2018 →
What does change mean? Do we ever change? What is it that changes, if anything? Looking deeply into the concept of change, what is it? A leaf changes from bud, to spring green, to summer green, to autumn rust, to shriveled up. It goes through change but in reality, it is still a leaf. Buddhism talks about impermanence as a fact of life and therefore, everything changes constantly. Like the leaf. And our challenge is to yield to that. I’d like to think that I can implement change. When a person is more energetic than I am, I become more energetic, but when a person is more mellow than I am, I become more mellow. The energy between another person and myself create the space we are in: I respond to highly task oriented people… Read more The Energy we Create →
Ever wondered what it means to be normal? Me, too! I just finished a couple of paintings showing an arc of balls and boxes. As we try to fit in, we choose a box to represent us. For example, I am a lawyer, a republican, married, and crazy about baseball – that is my box and I behave accordingly. Or, I am a teacher, a democrat, single, and crazy about shoes. Or, I am a business owner, libertarian, gay, and crazy about theater. Our face to the world is boxed… Read more What is Your Normal? →
